Founding Partner

Glen, a founding partner of De Wet – Van der Watt, has been part of the firm from the very beginning. He is an attorney, conveyancer and notary public.
His experience, expertise and dedication to people support the firm’s philosophy of providing an efficient, friendly and complete service while solving problems with integrity.
Attorney, Conveyancer & Notary
Simbongile completed her LLB degree at the University of Johannesburg and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in 2016. She joined the firm’s conveyancing department in 2023 and attends to both transfers and bonds as a conveyancer and notary.
Conveyancing Secretary
Debbie is a highly experienced conveyancing secretary who has been with De Wet – Van der Watt for over 23 years. During this time, she has developed a loyal following of clients.
Legal Secretary & Personal Assistant
Mavis is a legal secretary and personal assistant to Glen van der Watt. She also assists members of the public in matters concerning refunds from the City Council.
Estates Administrator
Magdel is an estates administrator and the firm’s liaison with the Master of the High Court. She helps ensure that matters are handled as promptly as possible.
Estates Administrator
Michael brings experience in accounts and information technology to the team. As an estates administrator, he assists with the finalisation of estates and liaison with the Master’s Office.
Conveyancing
Ivy brings 23 years of conveyancing experience to the team. She takes pride in handling mortgage bond registrations from start to finish.
Office Administration
Thembi supports the firm’s daily operations through her dedicated office administration work. She ensures that tasks run smoothly and contributes to creating an organised, welcoming environment for both colleagues and clients.
